The Film Festival Of Santa Cruz De Bolivia Fenavid, Awards ‘The Escape' As Best Documentary Film

The feature-length documentary co-produced by 3Cat, Ottokar and EL PERIÓDICO reveals how two pedophile priests were sent from Catalonia to the Andean country.

The jury of the international film festival of Santa Cruz in Bolivia, Fenavid, has awarded 'La Fugida' the prize in the category of best “documentary feature film”. The film uncovers how two pedophile priests were sent from Catalonia to Bolivia and gives voice to several former students of Jesuit schools who were victims of the same on both sides of the Atlantic.

‘The Escape’, traces the predatory trail of Lluís To and Francesc Peris between Barcelona and Bolivia and is a portrait of the impunity with which these two priests acted and their crimes. It uncovers new victims and reflects their indignation when they learn that these priests continued to abuse children on both sides of the Atlantic.

‘The Escape’ was directed by Josep Morell Feixas, Guillem Sánchez and Marc M. Sarrado, with script by Sánchez and Morell.
