La Fugida was one of the film premieres of the last edition of the DOCS Barcelona festival

La Fugida was one of the film premieres of the last edition of the DOCS Barcelona festival and has been screened over the last few weeks in different cinemas all over Catalonia.

The documentary tells the story of two cases, two stories of abuse by Jesuits in two leading schools in Barcelona: the Sant Ignasi school in Sarrià and the Jesuits in Casp.

The two abusers in the documentary have one thing in common: they were both transferred to Bolivia by the Society of Jesus, where they continued their abuse with total impunity. The film is a fierce portrait of the cover-up of these crimes that links the cities of Barcelona and Cochabamba.

The Escape is a co-production between Ottokar, Prensa ibérica and 3CAT.
